Youth For Road Safety

About three years ago 400 young road safety advocates from around the world assembled at the United Nations in Geneva to discuss road safety at the first ever world youth assembly for road safety.  From the assembly emerged a wish on the part of 200 official delegates to create an international youth led NGO advocating for road safety and hence the establishment of YOURS (Youth for Road Safety).  YOURS is a youth oriented NGO which advocates for road safety globally creating awareness about the epidemic on our roads affecting the youth as well as capacity building among young people.

Since its establishment, YOURS has been represented in several successful campaigns and conferences including the first ever Global Ministerial conference for road safety held in Moscow, Russia where YOURS CEO Mr. Floor Lieshout presented at the opening plenary session alongside the Russian president his Excellency Dmitry Medvedev and Chariots of Destiny Organization executive director Casey Marenge amongst other dignitaries present.  Mr. Lieshout also just recently presented a speech at the safety 2010 world conference which took place in London, UK in September 2010. 

One of the most successful highlights of YOURS was the establishment of the first global awareness campaign, the World Crossing campaign to create a strong statement to the rest of the world that young people are committed to keep young people safe on the world's roads. The Chariots of Destiny Organization is committed to supporting the efforts of YOURS as we aim to create safer roads for our youth! To learn more about us on our YOURS website
