Chariots of Destiny Participates in the Second Global Meeting of Road Safety NGOs

On 14th and 15th March 2011 more than 100 NGOs from 48 countries across the world gathered at the headquarters of the WHO Regional Office for the Americas, Washington DC, USA to participate in the Second Global Meeting of NGOs Advocating for Road Safety and Road Victims. Chariots of Destiny Organization were represented by the Executive Director Casey Marenge.

Chariots of Destiny at the First Global Ministerial Conference on Road Safety in Moscow.

Speaking at the opening plenary session, the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev, made an unprecedented high level call for action on what he emphasised represents a worldwide growing global crisis of road deaths. Addressing Ministers from more than 70 governments in a packed auditorium with over 1,500 delegates, President Medvedev called for a level of international action on road safety to match other major global issues.

Obama opens up stem cell work, science inquiries.

From tiny embryonic cells to the large-scale physics of global warming, President Barack Obama urged researchers on Monday to follow science and not ideology as he abolished contentious Bush-era restraints on stem-cell research. "Our government has forced what I believe is a false choice between sound science and moral values," Obama declared as he signed documents changing U.S. science policy and removing what some researchers have said were shackles on their work.
