This being the very first meeting the NGO representatives got straight to business and received positive results including: setting of the NGO name; AFRICAN NGO’s NETWORK FOR ROAD SAFETY. The network also came up with a day set aside to celebrate the African Road Safety Day: 31st May.
The registration of the network shall be done in Namibia, and shall have one representative from each region in the network. It was also decided that only NGO’s that have been registered since 2009 will be allowed to join the network. An executive team was formed during this meeting for a three year non renewable mandate.
