COD launches the Make Roads Safe Campaign - Nairobi, Kenya October 20 - November 18 2007

COD members took the Make Road Safe campaign to the streets and launched at uchumi ngong road.Members of the public were sensitized to sign the petitions as they received awareness wrist bands and t-shirts. The campaign was carried out at the major Uchumi supermarkets running for a period of six weeks.

The campaign was also carried out at the United States International University, Kenyatta and Daystar University. An estimated and remarkable amount of 6,000 signatures was collected. More campaigns are scheduled for the next three months around the country before the UN road safety debate scheduled in March (www.makeroadssafe.org) to read more about the campaign.
